THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE SOGGY

THE GOOD, THE BAD AND THE SOGGY

We would all like to say a massive thank you to Steve Purchase and Dave Watson the South West representivitive of Molson Coors, for our tickets to the wonderful V Festival 2016.

It’s typical that it poured down that weekend but it really did not dampen our spirits. Especially as that guaranteed the fabulous look of the muddy Wellington boot in all of our photo’s! (There was a lot!)

However, in the event of getting a little intoxicated under the wonderful influence of Tesco’s Pear Cider, we discovered that our tent, was not waterproof. Obviously we took the adult approach of three simple steps;

  1. Drink more pear cider
  2. Bail out water, while more water is coming in
  3. Buy a new tent

The first act we saw perform were Years and Years, who really impressed us. That lead into other great acts like Sia and Rihanna. We can honestly say they were absolutely fantastic and performed shows that we will never forget.

I can say that the Dance Arena played a large part in our weekend at V Fest. Blow up instruments were thrown into the crowd. Sasha took the sax and Lauren took the microphone, blowing away our audiences with our sounds – forgetting it was a silent disco.

The VIP area was beautiful, sitting on picnic benches overlooking a lake. They had cute lights hanging from the tree’s and we were lucky, as the sun came out and decide to shine as we were there.

The second night of music, Faithless had to be one of our favourite acts. Although Bastille and Justin Bieber were also incredible.

V Festival is one of the best memories we will share together and never forget. Thank you very much from Lauren, Sasha and Rachel, to Steve and Dave for the opportunity and the memories.
